My current research topics
1. Synthesis of ordered mesoporous carbons with varying pore morphology by surfactant based soft template routes and their application as catalysts supports in fuel cells and as high performance super capacitor electrodes.
2. In-site doping of heteroatom (N, S, P, B and F) and transition metal doped ordered mesoporous carbons as efficient non-precious metal catalysts for Oxygen Reduction Reaction.
3.Non-covalent (π – π interactions) surface functionalization of highly graphitic carbon materials for uniform Pt nanoparticle deposition.
4. Synthesis of transition metal supported graphene catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction in acidic media.
5. Development of Pt-inner transition metals based alloy catalyst for enhanced ORR activate and durable catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction in acidic media.
6. Synthesis and durability evaluation of Pt supported catalysts by various accelerated durability protocols.
7. Carbon and Non-Carbon based durable catalyst support materials in low temperature Polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells applications.
